a&o will open its second hostel in Copenhagen

a&o, Europe’s largest hostel provider and industry innovator,  has signed an agreement for a second hostel in Copenhagen. a&o Sydhavn is located in the central and upcoming Sydhavn area and will have more than 200 single, double, family and shared rooms, 800 beds in total.

a&o Sydhavn is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2020. With this opening, a&o becomes the largest hostel provider in the city with a total of 370 rooms and around 1,450 beds in Copenhagen

The existing a&o Copenhagen Nørrebro, which opened in spring 2017, has exceeded so far Oliver Winter’s expectations, the founder and CEO of a&o Hostels. “125,000 overnight stays in the first year showed us how significant the demand is for cost-effective and quality accommodation in Copenhagen. For that reason, we are excited to open a second hostel in the city in order to make group and individual travel even more accessible, true to our motto: everyone can travel.”

a&o Sydhaven will be located in a former school building  which will be converted into a hostel. The connection of the hostel to the public transport will be excellent and the building will be located just two stops away from the central train station. This central location is ideal for groups, families, couples and individuals to explore Copenhagen. Those who want to discover the city the proper way should ride a bike! All rooms and public spaces will be featuring the new a&o design revealed at the beginning of this year. The hostel will offer own parking spaces for guests.

You will be able to start booking rooms at a&o Sydhavn from spring 2019 onwards.
