Unlike German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) hostels, you don’t need to be a member to stay at our a&o youth hostels. There’re no additional costs other than those for accommodation and any services you might use, such as our activity programme. Families are also very welcome in our a&o youth hostels: extra-large family rooms offer the comfort you need to get a proper rest at night. The central location and low price make it the perfect base to go out and explore Graz and the surrounding area by day. Discover the “City of Design”, with architectural charms including not only baroque and renaissance buildings but also narrow alleyways. When in Styria’s regional capital, it is also worth taking a trip to the Eggenberg Palace UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picturesque palace complexes, gateways, the Graz city crown, and the Universalmuseum Joanneum are further highlights of the Graz cityscape. The a&o Graz Hauptbahnhof youth hostel is the ideal starting point for your adventures in one of Austria's most beautiful cities!
Are you planning a school trip or a family holiday to Graz? We would be happy to plan your leisure activities with helpful suggestions. Most of our youth hostels also offer fully equipped meeting rooms, which you can use free of charge.
We’ve got your catering needs covered as well: an extensive breakfast buffet awaits you each morning at our youth hostels for 7 euros; children up to 6 years old get breakfast free of charge, from age 7 and up it is half price, and young adults aged 18 years and over pay the full price. For groups of 10 or more, we also offer dinner (by arrangement). If required, we can prepare packed lunches for you for 6 euros (there is a 50 cent discount for groups of 10 or more). Each includes a sandwich, fruit, confectionery bar, and a drink.
Please let us know how we can help you plan your trip! We’ll also happy to provide tips for excursions to theme parks, zoos or museums, bicycle tours, and give advice and information about transport connections and much more.
