A&O organises a family weekend in Amsterdam from 25 to 27 August 2017
The fifth instalment of the A&O Family Weekend is just round the corner, and it will be held outside of Germany for the first time: The hotel chain is inviting its guests to whisk their families off on an inexpensive mini-break from 25–27 August 2017 at the A&O Amsterdam Zuidoost. Tradition dictates that the Family Weekend will feature a big kids' party followed by a barbecue, and also that children will share their parents' room at no extra cost.
Karaoke, kid's disco & co.
The kids' party is on the agenda for Saturday, 26 August, and it promises to be a jam-packed jamboree with fun and games for young and old alike. Attractions include a clown to entertain the little ones, a bouncy castle to let off steam, a handicrafts area to conjure up miniature masterpieces or a professional kids' make-up artist for a creative new look. Parents are warmly invited to take part or kick back over coffee and cakes while their kids are left in the competent hands of professional child-minders the whole afternoon.
Towards the evening, the kids' party will transition smoothly into a barbecue with karaoke and a disco for the little ones. Our babysitting service ensures that parents can enjoy some welcome time together as well. The city centre with its legendary canals is just a 12-minute metro ride away from the A&O Amsterdam Zuidoost.
Affordable family holidays with A&O
The original idea behind the A&O Family Weekend was to offer larger families in particular an affordable option to enjoy a mini-break. "Our annual Family Weekend has since become bit of a tradition at A&O. Some families are regular attendees and include the event as a fixed date in their holiday calendar", says Oliver Winter, CEO of the A&O Group. "Besides, this year's event will be something of a première, as it's the first time that the A&O Family Weekend has been held outside of Germany. Last year's shindig at the A&O Leipzig Hauptbahnhof was a lively affair, to say the least. Every last one of the family rooms was booked."
