A&O hotel group encourages the company's philosophy and service values: "Welcome Days" for every new employee

The monthly introductory seminar for each staff member is considered to be the central "kick-off" event for the new working relationship.

In addition to corporate culture, the three-day event in Berlin focuses on how to deal with guests, professional conduct, body language and complaint management. A training team consisting of external communication instructors and internal best practice staff provides the combination of industry and company knowledge.

The "Welcome Days" will take place for the first time on 28 March in the conference rooms of the A&O Berlin Mitte and the connected head office. Between 10 - 20 new staff participate each month thanks to the strong growth of the chain. 
"From the in-house technician, the receptionists to the department manager, everyone goes through this feel-good seminar, which even focuses on the "invisible" aspects of day-to-day hotel life, alongside the basics. For example: where are the teams that look after the booking process, the website, the appearance of the brand or accountancy? What is different to an A&O in Berlin compared to one in Venice? CEO Oliver Winter will even drop by on one of the three days to welcome every newbie himself. In doing so, we hope this gives a greater sense of "belonging" to the A&O Group and a better understanding of the guest service", says Phillip Winter, CMO of the A&O Hotel Group.
