A&O Hotel Group introduces day rooms

A&O HOTELS and HOSTELS will initially be offering guests single and double rooms at selected establishments, which can be reserved from 10 AM - 5 PM for the daily overnight stay rate as of 1 April, 2017.

The rooms can be booked online at aohostels.com or on site at reception. We believe that business travellers and stopover tourists in particular will benefit from the latest booking innovation. This will initially be tested for six months, and then gradually extended to all other A&Os.

"The guest can flexibly use their room for up to seven hours. We see this service being especially popular at our establishments in Frankfurt, Leipzig, Karlsruhe und Berlin Hauptbahnhof. We tend to get more business travellers and stopover guests at these locations, who either need a short break or a relaxed environment to work in before their connecting flight or train is due", says Phillip Winter, CMO of the A&O Hotel Group.

The day rooms will be offered strategically at our city locations, which are situated close to trade fairs and governmental centres, as well as major train stations. Another feature is the pricing structure, which is tailored to meet the guests’ needs.

"It doesn't matter whether the guest takes two or the full seven hours, they will pay a one-off dynamic daily rate. This means that the service is communicated clearly and more transparency is offered to both the guest as well as the receptionists", adds Winter.
