The A&O HOTEL and HOSTEL Mitte is located amidst the new trendy vicinity of Berlin - the Köpenicker Straße. This street was recently chosen as location of the month January 2007 from the "Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft" of the Ministry of State for Economics, Labour and Women’s Issues.

Living in Mitte, Berlin’s oldest district, means to experience history, to feel history and perhaps to make history!
The Oranienburger Straße is one of the most popular streets in this district. Come here and you will discover not only great bars or restaurants but also unique and fancy boutiques. These shops offer the hippest trends. As a special tip we do recommend a visit of the artistic house Tacheles.
A municipal walk leads you from Berliner Dom, which is located on Museumsinsel (Museum Island), immediately across Schlossbrücke to the boulevard Unter den Linden. You promenade along Staatsoper (State Opera House), Humboldt University as well as Bebelplatz towards Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate). But Berlin Mitte has still more to offer: Alexanderplatz and the close-by "Fernsehturm" (TV Tower), the Rotes Rathaus (Red Town Hall), Gendarmenmarkt (Berlin’s most superb square) and needless to say the Regierungsviertel (Government District).
