Berghain
Since its voting as the best club in the world in 2008, no Berlin visitor with party adrenaline in his blood should miss this clubbing address. It is not without reason that fancier keep saying: „Whatever happens in there, stays there“ (there is a no-photo-policy!)... The former heat and power station not only hosts the finest minimal and techno Djs but also offers the famous Panorama bar!
By the way, the name “Berghain” is the combination of the district's name Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, which makes it perfect for A&O visitors to get there:

A&O Berlin Mitte by taxi, only a quick 1.8 km ride (5 min) right in front of the door step or a comfy 20 minute walk along the river Spree and the former Berlin Wall

A&O Berlin Friedrichshain by taxi, only 2.6 km (7 min), but even better by foot (about 30 min) strolling through one of the most inspiring neighbourhoods (and let's be honest here: time moves at a different pace in Berlin anyway)
DDR-Restaurant Domklause
In its extravagant setting - a theme alternating between wearing Socialist rhetoric and Ronald Paris' mural "In Praise of Communism" - the GDR restaurant Domklause serves an authentic and tasty experience of history.
