Information & Facilities

Anyone who does not move after a long carnival celebration is in good hands here. There are 41 single and double rooms, and of course - as in every room - bathroom with shower / WC and free Wi-Fi in the house included. It's best to start the day with the generous all-you-can-eat buffet in our newly designed breakfast room. There is a good mood around the clock with our helpful team from the front desk.

Centrally located: a&o Köln Dom

The a&o Köln Dom is very central. It's only 100 meters to the Central Station and the Cologne Cathedral. The Cologne Altstadt is just 300 meters from the a&o hotel Köln Dom. With its central location the a&o is easy to reach by car, train or bus, and is the ideal starting point for excursions into the city.

In the small a&o Köln Dom you'll experience the cheerful Cologne spirit and have an inexpensive and central spot from which to discover the Ruhr capital. Due to its central location right in the middle of the city centre you can admire the numerous sights. The excellent transportation connections also make it just a short distance to the trade fair grounds.

Directions

From the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):

At the Central Station take the exit to the cathedral. Walk across the square to the Trankgasse and turn right there. Follow the road until you reach Komödienstraße. After 70 meters the a&o hotel is on the left side.

 
From the Central Bus Station (ZOB):

The Central Bus Station is located on the other side of the Central Station and is only 500 meters away from the a&o hotel Köln Dom. Leave the Central Bus Station in the direction of Johannisstraße and walk to the station forecourt. Walk past the cathedral into the Trankgasse, which after 100 meters becomes the Komödienstraße. After another 70 meters, the a&o Hotel is on the left.

 
From Cologne / Bonn Airport:

Take the S13 direction Horrem to Cologne Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). There take the exit to the cathedral. Walk across the square to Trankgasse. Follow the road to the Komödienstraße. On the left side you will see the a&o hotel Köln Dom after about 70 meters.

Prices at a&o depend on availability. The fewer beds available in a room category, the higher the prices; when occupancy is low, they automatically decrease. Basically, this means for guests: The earlier you book, the cheaper it is. On the other hand, last-minute travelers can usually continue to take advantage of great last-minute offers - of course, only as long as the relevant category is available.

How are the rooms at a&o equipped?

All room categories offer modern hotel standard with private bathroom and free WiFi. As a rule, each room also has a TV. Single, double and family rooms include bed linen and towels. Family rooms consist of a double bed and one or two bunk beds. Dorm rooms have four to eight beds. Bed linen can be brought or reserved for a small additional fee. All bathrooms are standard equipped with shower/WC, 2-in-1 shower gel, hair dryer and cosmetic tissues.

Can I stay with a dog/pet at a&o?

At a&o, a maximum of two dogs or pets can be taken without any problems in single or double rooms - for an additional fee of 13 euros per animal and night. The animals should just not be too large or exotic.

Can I cook for myself at a&o?

Cooking for yourself is not a problem at a&o. Most a&os offer a well-equipped guest kitchen. Which hostels have a guest kitchen is noted on the respective hostel website and in the booking confirmation.

Are there cribs at a&o?

Each hostel has cribs that can be borrowed free of charge. When booking online, simply note this in the notes field. The room will be prepared accordingly.
