The a&o Frankfurt has a prime location for all those who are travelling to the city for business or personal pleasure. With just 1 km from the Central Station and congress centre the a&o can easily be reached with public transport. Using the S-Bahn or tram station Galluswarte, guests land right on our doorstep. Car drivers can park their vehicle on a&o’s own car park.

The a&o Frankfurt Galluswarte (fair) offers its guests the perfect accomodation with top connections in the heart of "Mainhattan". In addition to meeting rooms, there is also an ATM, guest kitchen and washing machine, billiards and football tables and a children's play area. Reception and hotel bar are available 24 hours a day. As the first a&o hostel, you will find an insect hotel and a wildflower bed for biodiversity at this location.

From the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) / Central Bus Station (ZOB):

The bus stop is on the south side of the Central Station.

By S-Bahn: The fastest way to the a&o Frankfurt Galluswarte is by S-Bahn. You can take any train (S3, 4, 5 and 6) towards Messe. In just one station you reach the stop Galluswarte. Take the exit Mainzer Landstraße. If you look to the left, you'll already see our a&o Hostel.

By tram: Take tram line 11 or 21 four stops to Galluswarte. Take the Mainzer Landstraße a little way back, contrary to the direction of travel. On the left side, on the corner of Gründerrodestraße, you can already see our a&o hostel. Take the pedestrian crossing and feel welcome with us!

 
From Frankfurt Airport:

The S-Bahn S8 direction Offenbach and S9 direction Hanau Hbf. drive to Frankfurt Central Station. Both run every fifteen minutes. From there you can take any S-Bahn (S3, 4, 5 and 6) in the direction of the fair. In just one station you reach the stop Galluswarte. Take the exit Mainzer Landstraße. If you look to the left, you'll already see a&o Hostel.

Prices at a&o depend on availability. The fewer beds available in a room category, the higher the prices; when occupancy is low, they automatically decrease. Basically, this means for guests: The earlier you book, the cheaper it is. On the other hand, last-minute travelers can usually continue to take advantage of great last-minute offers - of course, only as long as the relevant category is available.

How are the rooms at a&o equipped?

All room categories offer modern hotel standard with private bathroom and free WiFi. As a rule, each room also has a TV. Single, double and family rooms include bed linen and towels. Family rooms consist of a double bed and one or two bunk beds. Dorm rooms have four to eight beds. Bed linen can be brought or reserved for a small additional fee. All bathrooms are standard equipped with shower/WC, 2-in-1 shower gel, hair dryer and cosmetic tissues.

Can I stay with a dog/pet at a&o?

At a&o, a maximum of two dogs or pets can be taken without any problems in single or double rooms - for an additional fee of 13 euros per animal and night. The animals should just not be too large or exotic.

Can I cook for myself at a&o?

Cooking for yourself is not a problem at a&o. Most a&os offer a well-equipped guest kitchen. Which hostels have a guest kitchen is noted on the respective hostel website and in the booking confirmation.

Are there cribs at a&o?

Each hostel has cribs that can be borrowed free of charge. When booking online, simply note this in the notes field. The room will be prepared accordingly.
