From the a&o München Hauptbahnhof it is only a 5-minute walk to the Oktoberfest on the Theresienwiese, and the old town is virtually at your feet. Although the hotel is very central, you can sleep here peacefully. The house with its 73 single and double rooms is quite contemplative; many rooms are soundproofed in the backyard.

Centrally located: a&o München Hauptbahnhof

The a&o München Hauptbahnhof is just 400 meters away from the Central Station and is thus easy to reach by train. Due to the a&o's central location the Altstadt can be easily reached by foot and is the ideal starting point for excursions into the Munich city centre.

Special features of our hostel a&o München Hauptbahnhof

In just five minutes you can be at the Theresienwiese to not only take part in the hustle and bustle of Oktoberfest but also just to relax and have a picnic. Due to its very central location, we can only recommend public transport. For those arriving by car, we offer our own underground parking.

Important tips for the use of the underground garage: Especially in the city center affordable parking spaces are scarce! We recommend booking online in advance. Underground parking is suitable for cars up to 2 tons, 2.0 m heigth and 1.7 m width. When you arrive, you will take your car into a car lift. A car ramp will take you to your reserved parking space. Our staff will also gladly provide drivers of lowered cars or beginners with suitable alternatives in the immediate vicinity.

Directions

From the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):

Use the exit Bayerstraße of the Central Station. Turn right on Bayerstraße. After about 600 meters you will see the a&o München Hauptbahnhof on the left side of the street.

 
From the Central Bus Station (ZOB):

The ZOB Munich is located directly at the S-Bahn station Hackerbrücke.

On foot: From the ZOB it is only 700 meters to the hotel. Turn left into Grasserstraße. After crossing the Hackerbrücke turn left into Kurt-Haertel-Passage, then left into Bayerstraße. After a short while you will already see the a&o München Hauptbahnhof on the right side of the street.

By S-Bahn: You can take any S-Bahn one stop to the Central Station. Use the exit Bayerstraße. Turn right on Bayerstraße. After about 600 meters you will discover the a&o München Hauptbahnhof on the left side of the street.

 
From Munich Airport:

From the airport you can take the S-Bahn line 1 or 8 towards the city. The journey takes an average of 45 minutes. Drive to the S-Bahn station Hauptbahnhof. Use the exit Bayerstraße. Turn right on Bayerstraße. After about 600 meters you will see the a&o München Hauptbahnhof on the left side of the street.
